ABOUT THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Timothy Chou has lectured at Stanford University for over twenty-five years. Not only does he have academic credentials, but also he’s served as President of Oracle’s cloud business and today is a board member at both Blackbaud and Teradata. He began his career at one of the first Kleiner Perkins startups, Tandem Computers, and today is working with several Silicon Valley startups in roles from investor to executive chairman. Timothy has published a few landmark books including, The End of Software, and Precision: Principals, Practices and Solutions for the Internet of Things, which was recently named one of the top ten books for CIOs. He’s lectured at over twenty universities and delivered keynotes on all six continents.

Pêcheurs de Rêves – Le Récital
In celebration of the Festival of Francophonie, the Consulate General of Switzerland and Alliance Française de San Francisco present a musical evening featuring the Swiss duo, Laurent Brunetti (vocalist) and Mario Pacchioli (pianist).
The program is a modern fusion of French chansons with the theatrical art. Brunetti’s words accompanied by Pacchioli’s music will take the audience on a nostalgic journey to the distant childhood memories.
Both artists’ careers have been highlighted by several albums and more than 110 performances alone in the past three years to promote the French language.
The event will be preceded by a reception with appetizers and Swiss wine.

Germany California Energy Storage Symposium
The GACC West cordially invites you to the 2nd
Germany California Energy Storage Symposium
This exclusive knowledge exchange between U.S. and German experts in the energy storage field is a unique opportunity to hear from high-level speakers and meet with companies from both countries. The full-day symposium focuses on different approaches on both sides of the Atlantic and includes presentations from German and American energy storage experts. Attendees of the conference will learn about the latest developments in the energy storage sector and can meet with German companies to discuss potential synergies.
Attendance is complimentary since the program is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag. RSVP is required.
The symposium is part of a delegation trip for selected German companies and energy storage experts who will visit California from February 12-14, 2018. The program aims to strengthen innovation transfer and collaboration between German and American energy storage stakeholders. The German delegation will meet with local industry leaders, research institutions, and government representatives to exchange ideas, discuss new developments and lay the groundwork for future cooperation.
