Gerard de Graaf – Senior Envoy for Digital to the U.S. and head of the EU office in San Francisco. Gerard has worked for more than 30 years in the European Commission across a wide range of policy areas. Until his recent appointment, he was director in DG CNECT, responsible inter alia for the Digital Services and Digital Markets Acts (DSA/DMA), two landmark pieces of legislation which have been recently adopted in the European Union to keep the Internet safe, protect fundamental rights and enhance competition in digital markets.
Florence G’sell – Professor of private law, University of Lorraine, leads the Digital, Governance and Sovereignty Chair, Sciences Po, and currently visiting professor at Stanford’s Cyber Policy Center’s program on the Governance of Emerging Technologies. With a background in tort law, judicial systems and comparative law, Florence focuses on digital law and issues related to the regulation of online platforms, the way law can address new technologies (Blockchain, Metaverse), the notion of digital sovereignty and, more generally, digital policies in the EU and the US.
Yaad Oren – Managing Director, SAP Labs U.S. & Global Head of SAP BTP Innovation. Yaad is responsible for leading location strategy, ecosystem engagement, operations, communications, and employee engagement for SAP’s ~5,500 development employees in more than 20 offices across the U.S., SAP’s largest cloud addressable market. Yaad also leads the global SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Innovation Team that spearheads the adoption and advancement of AI within SAP BTP. They explore emerging technologies and build early-stage products to address the evolving needs of enterprise customers.
Julie Owono – Executive Director of Internet Without Borders and inaugural member of the Facebook Oversight Board. At the intersection of Business and Human Rights, her work focuses on creating channels of collaboration between different set of actors of the Internet. Julie is particularly interested in using multistakeholder approaches to foster collaborations on issues related to online content moderation. She is a member of the Global Partnership on AI (AI) created by France and Canada, of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on AI for Humanity, of the WEF Council on the Connected World.
Lutz Finger – Venture Partner at Cherry.vc, the premier seed fund in Europe. Lutz is a distinguished technologist from Silicon Valley with over 20 years of experience in building AI-driven products at leading companies such as Google, LinkedIn, and SNAP Inc. He leads R2Decide LLC, a platform for generative AI tools. As a public speaker, he shares insights on the latest AI trends and its impact on society and products. He hosts the podcast THE EDGE and contributes regularly to Forbes. His eCornell online course, DESIGNING AND BUILDING AI SOLUTIONS, has gained significant attention for its innovative use of AI teaching assistants.
